Eighteen Minutes, Worth Your Time

You NEED to watch this.

I’m serious.

Grab a bowl of popcorn because this is a totally awe-inspiring 18 minutes of neatness live from the amazing artisans behind the horse “puppets” used in the Broadway play War Horse.

Ted scored a free ticket to see War Horse on tour at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati last Sunday and said it was fantastic – the story, the acting, and the horses.

Then he forwarded me this video about how they made the horses for the show.

Do yourself a favor, relax for 18 minutes, and watch the magic unfold.

Welcome to Newlyweds in New York!

I'm Lara, a native Texan in a newlywed state of mind enjoying wedded bliss and the adventurous life in Rochester, New York with my husband Ted. We are proud owners of the Green Bay Packers and both work in the professional theatre industry - me in the artistic realm and Ted on the production scene - where, rest assured, there is never a dull moment. We met in Lansing, Michigan, wed in Door County, Wisconsin, started our married life in Cincinnati, Ohio, and have now made our way to the Roc City. I love the arts, traveling, the great outdoors, cooking, eating, discovering all the awesome things to do in upstate New York, adventuring, animals, and schmoozin’ with our family and friends. Follow along with us as we navigate this crazy/beautiful life together!

Anticipating - Some global travel-time in our near future

Craving - Summer produce! If it's fresh and juicy, I'm on board

Creating - Lists and lists and lists! They never end!

Loving - Every single minute I get to spend cozied up to my husband before our crazy "new normal" takes over

Planning - A big old exciting and kind of scary trip!

Reading - The Fault in Our Stars, Wild, Phantom Tollbooth, and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Theatre - Summer Academy and preparations for Wait Until Dark and Good People have my plate stacked high

Thinking - I wish there were more hours in the day

Watching - Parenthood and HGTV

Wishing - For everything to change, but for nothing to change at all, because it's so good right now!
