Thanksgiving in Chicago!

Above all, I am thankful every single day for these people and for this life.

Welcome to Newlyweds in New York!
I'm Lara, a native Texan in a newlywed state of mind enjoying wedded bliss and the adventurous life in Rochester, New York with my husband Ted. We are proud owners of the Green Bay Packers and both work in the professional theatre industry - me in the artistic realm and Ted on the production scene - where, rest assured, there is never a dull moment. We met in Lansing, Michigan, wed in Door County, Wisconsin, started our married life in Cincinnati, Ohio, and have now made our way to the Roc City with a stop in Sharjah, UAE. I love adventure, the arts, traveling, activities in the great outdoors, all things food and cocktails, Texas, any and all animals, discovering awesome things to see and do in upstate New York, Halloween, and schmoozin’ with our family and friends. Follow along with us as we navigate this crazy/beautiful life together!

Anticipating - The day when we may safely travel and gather with family and friends.

Craving - Comforting Hungarian food (chicken paprikash and homemade spaetzle, etc.) and Texas eats (kolaches, barbacoa tacos, etc.)

Creating - Writing content

Loving - Deep midwinter glittery snow very early in the mornings

Planning - There's not much to plan in a Covid world! We're taking things one day at a time over here!

Theatre - "Where Did We Sit on the Bus?" by Brian Quijada

Thinking - Of warm bubble baths, boozy hot cocoa, and snuggly pets.

Watching - All Creatures Great & Small on PBS and Hallmark mystery movie series

Wishing - For health and safety for our loved ones and a quick roll-out of this vaccine!
